PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Ministry of Law and Human Rights held a socialization of the 2025 Peacemaker Justice Award (PJA) for village heads in Bandung City, Friday (21/3/2025)

This online event aims to make village heads more active in resolving legal disputes in their areas through mediation, without having to take cases to court.

Head of the Legal Services and Human Rights Division of the West Java Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Funna Maulina, appreciated the enthusiasm of the village heads who attended this socialization.

"I appreciate the enthusiasm of the ladies and gentlemen who are present to confirm the performance documents and prepare the registration data. Core registration must be done immediately before March 27, while supporting documents such as videos or photos can follow," he said.

PJA 2025 is a continuation of the previous year's Paralegal Justice Award. This program focuses on providing village heads with competencies in running the Legal Aid Post (Posbankum) as a place for mediation and legal consultation for the community.

"It's not just a contest, but how the village head is able to revive Posbankum as a forum for non-litigation legal resolution," he said.

PJA 2025 registration is done online through pja.bphn.go.id. This year's selection process is also different, with a free online training method, so participants do not need to come directly to the center.

Funna stated that the selection would not be too strict, because what was prioritized was the readiness of the village head in running Posbankum in his area.

West Java Province has a good track record in PJA. Therefore, this year, Bandung City is targeted to achieve achievements.

"I am optimistic that this year there will be a village head from Bandung City who will win a national award," he said.

Funna invites all village heads in Bandung City to immediately register themselves.

"Use this opportunity to increase capacity in resolving disputes in each region. The sooner you register, the easier it is to complete the requirements," he said.

Head of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, West Java Regional Office, Lina Kurniasari, emphasized the importance of village head participation in this program.

"Bandung City already has 151 sub-districts, all of which have the status of Legally Aware Sub-districts. By participating in PJA 2025, the sub-district heads will be more prepared to provide better legal services to the community," he said.

For information, the deadline for PJA 2025 registration is March 27, 2025. Interested village heads can access pja.bphn.go.id for more information.
