PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - Acting (Pj.) Bogor Regent Bachril Bakri officially launched the Healthy Heart Friday program in the Bogor Regency Government (Pemdakab) environment, which took place at Tegar Beriman Field, Friday (17/1/2025). In order to encourage and create a Bogor Regency community that cares about heart health.
Bachril Bakri expressed his pride in the implementation of the Healthy Heart Friday program launch activity which will be carried out routinely every Friday, starting from the Regency level to the Sub-district and Village levels as well as at the Junior High and Senior High School levels.
"I will instruct all SKPD Heads, BUMD Heads, and related officials in Bogor Regency to carry out Healthy Heart Friday Exercise for at least one hour, and encourage the community to participate in maintaining heart health," said Bachril Bakri.
The Acting Regent of Bogor also emphasized the importance of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle to prevent heart disease, which has now spread to the younger age group.
"Data shows that heart disease not only attacks the elderly, but also young people, especially those aged 15 to 34 years," he added.
He also hopes that with this movement, it can increase the life expectancy of the people of Bogor Regency, which is currently at 75.16 years.
On the same occasion, Director of Cibinong Hospital, Yukie Meistisia A. Satoto expressed her support for this activity. She reminded that in addition to exercise, a healthy lifestyle also needs to be considered, such as avoiding cigarettes, maintaining blood pressure, and consuming balanced nutrition.
"Services at Cibinong Regional Hospital also provide regular health check-ups and smoking cessation therapy, to help the community maintain heart health," he added.
