PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The 2026 West Java Crafts Week (PKJB) is back. This year, it will take place from June 26–28, 2026, at Trans Studio Mall & Trans Convention Center, Bandung.

This event will feature exhibitions of MSMEs, fashion, crafts, culinary, and West Java arts and cultural performances for three full days.

Head of the West Java Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda), Noneng Komara Nengsih, said that PKJB will present the best craft or handicraft products from 27 regencies/cities in West Java that have passed the curation process.

Each exhibition stand from the regencies and cities in West Java will display its top three products after passing the curation process from the West Java Dekranasda.

Not only old craft products but there are also new products that follow the latest developments to attract young people.

"Everyone with potential will have an equal opportunity to become the best products representing their districts and cities," said Noneng, Monday (June 22, 2026).

The products that can be seen at the exhibition come from seven main raw materials such as bamboo, wood, rattan, textiles, glass, metal and stone which have received national awards.

"So, the products presented are truly the best, so they certainly won't disappoint visitors, especially buyers. Moreover, buyers will come from various cities, not just West Java; some will even come from abroad," he added.

This year, there are certainly new features that will make PKJB 2026 even more exciting. First, there's Pinton Kriya, a demonstration of crafts such as batik and other crafts that visitors can watch and interact with directly.

The second is Saba Kriya, which invites visitors or potential buyers to take an educational trip to West Java, introducing regional tourism and workshops at artisan centers.

Another regular event is a fashion show, showcasing batik textiles suitable for special occasions or everyday activities. Representatives from the Regency and City Craft Councils (Dekranasda), regional heads, Bank Indonesia leaders, and, of course, the Governor of West Java will showcase the batik.

The 19th PKJB also continues to provide convenience to visitors in conducting digital transactions via QRIS.

"Through PKJB, firstly, West Java's craft products will become more widely known by the public because this will become a promotional platform for business actors. Secondly, it will build networking, and thirdly, of course, sales will also increase," Noneng added.
