PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - Interest in passport applications from Bandung residents continues to show a positive trend. The passport application service at the Bandung City Public Service Mall (MPP) is consistently packed with applicants every time the service opens.

The Head of the Bandung City MPP Team, Dicky Surya, revealed that the immigration service at the MPP serves the issuance of new passports and replacements of passports with a validity period of 5 years and 10 years for electronic passports.

"At the MPP, thank God the queue is always sold out," said Dicky at the Public Service Mall, Monday (29/6/2026).

According to him, the majority of passport applicants apply for travel documents for tourism and religious purposes. However, the rise in international sporting activity has also driven high demand for passports, including from football club fans who want to attend matches abroad.

Passport services at the Bandung City MPP are available every Tuesday and Thursday, with a quota of 25 applicants per day. Residents can register their queue the day before using the Gampil app, starting at 8:00 a.m. WIB.

"To queue, residents must first create an account on the Gampil app, then register their National Identification Number (NIK) with their Bandung City ID card (KTP). Only then can they queue for immigration services," he explained.

The Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) fee for electronic passports is set at IDR 650,000 for a 5-year validity period and IDR 950,000 for a 10-year validity period.

Meanwhile, Immigration Officer at the Bandung City MPP, Dudi Saprial, said that in addition to tourism and religious needs, passport applications also increase when there is an international sporting event.

"When there are sporting events, especially Persib matches abroad, many supporters usually apply for passports to travel to support their favorite team. The enthusiasm is indeed high," said Dudi.

According to Dudi, the requirements for a new passport are quite simple: an ID card, a birth certificate, diploma, or marriage certificate, and a family card. To replace or renew a passport, people only need to bring their ID card and old passport.

"For services at the MPP, the completion process takes approximately seven working days according to the available service schedule," he said.

The convenience of this service was directly felt by Asep Mulyadi, Head Coach of Bandung Legend, who was currently processing the passports of his 16 students and 5 Officials to participate in an international competition in Japan.

Bandung Legend will represent Indonesia in the next round of the Podomoro Grand League (APL), which will feature around 50 teams from various countries, including world-class football academies.

"We're applying for passports in preparation for going to Japan. Bandung Legend will represent Indonesia in that international competition," he said.

He appreciated the quality of service at the Bandung City MPP, which he considered fast, friendly, and straightforward.

"The service was excellent. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted in a friendly manner and given directions. The process was quick, hassle-free, and didn't take up much time. It was very convenient for the public," he said.
