PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government, through the Water Resources, Highways, and Construction Agency (SDABMBK), has begun implementing a number of infrastructure development activities for the 2026 Fiscal Year in the Muaragembong District.
The Secretary of Muaragembong Sub-district, Hasan Basri, said that the implementation of a number of these works was based on notification from the Bekasi Regency SDABMBK Service regarding the implementation of construction work for the 2026 Fiscal Year.
"In connection with the construction work, road access around the location is temporarily experiencing disruption and narrowing of traffic flow," said Hasan Basri in Muaragembong District on Wednesday (7/10/2026).
Hasan Basri stated that, based on data, there are five infrastructure development activities planned for the 2026 Fiscal Year in the Muaragembong District. Of these five, four have already begun, while the other will be implemented in the next phase.
4 ongoing development activities include the construction of the Blacan River Bridge on the Pantai Harapan Jaya-Pantai Mekar road section, the construction of the Larangan 2 Larangan River Bridge on the Pantai Harapan Jaya-Pantai Mekar road section, Pantai Harapan Jaya Village, the construction of the Pantai Bakti-Bungin bridge section located in front of the Nur Attaqwa prayer room, as well as the continued construction of the approach road for the Pantai Mekar-Pantai Bakti Village connecting bridge.
Meanwhile, another development activity, namely the widening of the Cabang Dua Bridge on the Kampung Terusan-Cabang Dua road section, Jayasakti Village, Muaragembong District, will be carried out in the next stage.
Hasan explained that specifically for the construction of the Blacan River Bridge and Larangan 2 Bridge, work is underway on the Harapan Jaya Beach-Mekar Beach access road, which is an important route for public mobility.
"Especially for access to the Blacan Bridge and Larangan Bridge construction sites, this route is one of the closest accesses to Babelan District, Bekasi City, and DKI Jakarta," he said.
He explained that access to the Blacan River Bridge and the Larangan Bridge is not only used by the local Muaragembong community, but also by people from outside the area, including tourists who visit the Muaragembong area as a coastal area.
"This route is not only used by local Muaragembong residents, but also people from outside the area, including tourists who come to fish," he explained.
Furthermore, Hasan appealed to the public and motorists passing around the ongoing work site to increase their vigilance during the construction process.
He emphasized that road user safety is paramount during the construction process. He also hopes the public will understand that the traffic congestion is a temporary impact of the construction work.
"We urge residents and motorists passing by to remain cautious, reduce speed, follow the directions of officers on the ground, and use alternative routes if possible," he said.
He hopes that the construction currently underway this year will benefit the community in the future, particularly by improving connectivity, facilitating mobility, and supporting economic and tourism activities in the Muaragembong area once the work is completed.
