PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is committed to rebuilding the houses of residents that burned down on Jalan Kota Baru 3 No. 67, RT 01, RW 04, Ciateul Village, Regol District. This was conveyed directly by the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, while reviewing the fire location, Thursday (6/3/2025).

"Alhamdulillah, we have directly reviewed the location of the residents' houses that were burned in Ciateul Village. Fortunately, there were no fatalities in this incident," said Erwin.

On that occasion, Erwin expressed his concern over the disaster that befell residents and emphasized that the Bandung City Government was present to help.

He has coordinated with the Fire and Disaster Management Agency (Diskar PB), the Bandung City Housing and Settlement Agency (DPKP), and various related parties to ensure that the affected houses will be repaired immediately and made habitable again.

"We are committed that the victims of this fire must have a place to live again," he said.

Erwin said, the process of rebuilding residents' houses will be carried out soon, although it still requires administrative stages. With the Regional Regulation on Poverty, the Bandung City Government ensures that every citizen has the right to get a decent place to live.

Based on the data obtained, this fire resulted in five houses being damaged with a total of 13 heads of families (KK) and 41 people affected.

In addition, the surrounding community, including Karang Taruna, RW, and neighbors, also helped the victims by working together.

Muhtar, one of the residents whose house burned down, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Bandung City Government.

"Assistance from the government, thank God, has been given. We are very grateful for the attention given. We only hope that our houses can be rebuilt," said Muhtar.

With a strong commitment from the government and support from various parties, it is hoped that the victims of this fire can soon have a comfortable and safe place to live again. (Diskominfo Kota Bandung/rka)
