PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government ensures that Medium Rice Stabilizing Food Price Supply (SPHP) can now be found in retail stores.

This was conveyed by the Acting Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Service (Disdagin), Ronny Ahmad Nurudin on the sidelines of the Medium Rice Market Operation for Food Price Supply Stabilization (SPHP) and Cheap Market on Jalan Margacinta, Buahbatu District (19/2/2024 ).

“It has entered retail. "The data we received is that for Transmart retail, the demand for SPHP rice is 120 tons and only 20 tons have been allocated," said Ronny.

He continued, SPHP rice is also available in other retailers such as Superindo. And as of today, SPHP rice is available in Yogya retail.

"For Yogya retail, the allocation is 30 tons," said Ronny.

With the existing and quite massive availability, the Bandung City Government appealed to the public not to panic and make excessive purchases (panic buying).

This was also emphasized repeatedly by Acting. Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono.

"We have encouraged retail entrepreneurs to prepare space for medium rice SPHP. "I heard that as of today, 30 tons of SPHP rice have entered Yogya retail stores," said Bambang.

"This means that the rice stock in Bandung City is in a safe position. Therefore, we appeal to Bandung residents not to panic buy. "Because rice stocks are in a safe position," he said.

Furthermore, Bambang said that the Bandung City Government is also massively checking the availability of medium rice in traditional markets and increasing the supply of SPHP rice so that it is easy for people to find it in traditional markets.

Apart from retail and traditional markets, residents can also get SPHP medium rice through the Food Price Stabilization Medium Rice Market Operation (SPHP) and Cheap Markets in 30 sub-districts throughout Bandung City from 19 February to 1 March 2024.
