
PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government continues to work on the process of securing the assets of the Bandung Zoo. On various occasions, the Bandung City Government stated that the security of these assets is in line with applicable regulations.
For your information, on Thursday 20 June 2024 a trial was held for Civil Case No. 198/Pdt.G/2024/PN.Bdg, with the Plaintiff being the Tamansari Wildlife Foundation (Bandung Zoo), and the Defendant being the Mayor of Bandung.
The trial agenda is not yet on the main case, and is still examining the power of attorney and determining the Mediation agenda which will be held on June 27 2024.
Head of the Bandung City Regional Finance and Assets Agency (BKAD), Agus Slamet Firdaus, said that the Bandung City Regional Government legally owns the 13.9 hectare land based on various evidence currently held.
Previously, the Bandung City Government had won the case regarding land ownership of Bandung Zoo No. 402/Pdt.G/2021/PN.Bdg as having permanent legal force with the Supreme Court Cassation Decision No. 4001 K/Pdt/2023.
In this case, the Tamansari Wildlife Foundation acted as Defendant III and knew that the Bandung City Regional Government in this case as Defendant I was the land owner of the Bandung Zoo.
Agus also said that in security measures for the Bandung Zoo, the Bandung City Government is always accompanied by the West Java Prosecutor's Office and the Korsupgah KPK-RI.
Please note, the Bandung Zoo is managed by the Tamansari Bandung Wildlife Park Foundation based on several letters of agreement and permits from 1970 to 2004. The land use permit expired on November 30 2007.
After that, in 2008, the Tamansari Wildlife Foundation has not paid rent or arrears which have the potential to harm the area to date. (Diskominfo Bandung City/Revo)
