PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Regional Government of West Java Province received the Detik Jabar Awards 2024 Praiseworthy Development Innovation Award in the Cyber Crime Handling Innovation Category.

The award was received directly by the Regional Secretary of West Java Province Herman Suryatman from the Main Director of detikcom Abdul Aziz at the 2024 Detik Jabar Award Awarding Night at the Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung, Wednesday (17/7/2024) evening.

"We represent the Acting Governor of West Java to receive appreciation from Detik Jabar in the context of the 2024 Detik Jabar Awards Anugerah Night for the Cyber Crime Handling Category," said Herman Suryatman.

Herman said that the West Java Provincial Government is committed to providing the best public services to the community so that they are faster, cheaper and more concise.

All of this can only be implemented well if it is supported by information security.

"The West Java Provincial Government, through the Communications and Information Service, is paying serious attention to information security so that it can anticipate cyber crimes. Moreover, we have a responsibility to ensure the protection of personal data," said Herman.

"This is one of our efforts to ensure that digital transformation or the implementation of an electronic-based government system (SPBE) is safe and comfortable so that the public will benefit," he added.

In the future, Herman continued, his party will continue to ensure efforts to improve the quality of information security within the West Java Provincial Government and will of course invite district and city governments to make the same efforts.

"Furthermore, educating all entities in West Java to pay serious attention to information security. One of the efforts being made is the use of blockchain technology which hopefully can be even better and must be done consistently with multi-stakeholder cooperation," said Herman.

Blockchain is a technology used as a database management system that has more features to ensure data security.

The application of blockchain technology is expected to increase data security and safety so that it is more secure.

Apart from that, it is hoped that the implementation of blockchain can be a mitigation measure against data leaks and misuse which have recently become widespread.

The West Java Provincial Government through the West Java Communication and Information Service also continues to strive to maintain the continuity of electronic system services by consistently backing up and providing various types of training to improve digital human resource capabilities.

Apart from that, the West Java Communications and Information Service has also formed a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) to maintain service continuity by protecting stored data and information.

Working non-stop 24 hours

The CSIRT team works non-stop 24 hours for seven days to maintain West Java Provincial Government data.

The formation of CSIRT was based on the Decree of the Governor of West Java on 26 May 2020, Number 048.05/Kep.280Diskominfo/2020 concerning the West Java Provincial Government Computer Security Incident Response Team.

Apart from the West Java Provincial Government, there are also city districts in West Java and other agencies that have won the Detik Jabar Awards 2024 Praiseworthy Development Innovation Award, namely in the Responsive Service Innovation Category won by the Cirebon Regency Government.

Then the Innovation Category for Improving Education Quality was won by the Bandung Regency Government. Then the Cultural and Environmental Preservation Innovation Category by the Kuningan Regency Government.

Furthermore, the Public Information Openness Innovation Category was won by the Bandung City DPRD.

The Traffic Security System Arrangement Category was won by the Sukabumi Police and the Smart City Innovation Category by the Cimahi City Government.

Not only that, the Detik Jabar Awards 2024 Distinguished Economic Program Award was also handed over, namely the Implementation of Government Collaboration Category, which was won by the Majalengka Regency Government.

Then the Extreme Poverty Alleviation Category was successfully won by the Sumedang Regency Government. Then the Digital Transformation Accelerator Category by the Karawang Regency Government.

Furthermore, the Category of Preservation and Empowerment of World Heritage Enchantments was successfully won by the Sukabumi Regency Government.

The IoT-Based Public Services Category was won by the West Java Provincial Revenue Agency and the Creative Economy Information System Accessibility Category was won by the Bandung City Government.

Apart from institutions, there are also awards given to individuals. This award is entitled Anugerah Figure Accelerator of Progress Detik Jabar Awards 2024, which also comes with a number of categories, namely the Community Economic Driver Category won by Ono Surono.

Then the Alternative Medicine Conservation Category was won by Baban Saepudin. Then the Cultural Conservation Category, Dadan Sunandar Sunarya.

Next, the Social and Religious Movement Category was awarded to Ustaz Dadi. Then the Sports Development Category to Achmad Dradjat alias Aa Boxer and the Quality of Life Improvement Category to Dewi Nurjanah.

Not only that, awards were also given to the community through the Detik Jabar Awards 2024 Leading Mover Community Award.

In the Cultural Development and Advancement Category, the Reak Community won Men's Champion. Then the Social Movement Innovation Category was won by the Gap -Celah Langit Community and the Women's Empowerment Category was given to the Wanoja Coffee Farmer Group Community.

The highest award, namely the 2024 Adiluhung Detik Jabar Awards, was won by the figure of Mrs. Teacher Een Sukaesih. He is considered an exemplary figure who has completely dedicated his life to many people despite all his limitations.

Meanwhile, detikcom Editor-in-Chief Alfito Deannova Ginting said that the awards held were a form of active role in observing and at the same time informing the public and giving appreciation to the work that had been carried out by the best agencies, private parties, communities and individuals in West Java.
