Bekasi District Government Launches SREGEP Program

PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting (Pj.) Regent of Bekasi Dedy Supriyadi accompanied by the Head of the Education Office Imam Faturachman, launched the Strategy for Accelerating the Distribution and Improving the Quality of Education (Sregep) program in Bekasi Regency, which was located in the yard of SMPN 1 Cikarang Selatan on Monday (11/11/2024).

The Sregep Program initiated by the Bekasi Regency Education Office has three important breakthroughs in it, namely the Company Synergy Program for Schools (PROSPEK), the Priority Program for Extreme Poor Students to Enter School (PRISMA), and the Extreme Poor Achievement Scholarship Program (BIS EKSPRES).

In his remarks, Acting Regent of Bekasi Dedy Supriyadi said that through this program, it is hoped that it can improve aspects of quality and equality in the field of education, both in terms of facilities and infrastructure, teaching staff, and accessibility of education throughout Bekasi Regency.

"Through this effort, we hope that all children in Bekasi Regency will get the same opportunity to develop and learn in a quality educational environment," he said.

Dedy Supriyadi assessed that this innovation is not only relevant, but also crucial for the development of Bekasi Regency. Moreover, the education sector is an important pillar that is the foundation for the progress of a nation.

He also asked all stakeholders in Bekasi Regency to work together to provide support. So that these programs can be implemented optimally and improve the quality of education in Bekasi Regency.

"The Regional Government cannot work alone, it requires support from all levels starting from the Education Office, related agencies, companies in Bekasi Regency, educators, and the entire community so that this program can be implemented optimally," he appealed.

Head of Bekasi Regency Education Office Imam Faturachman added, through the breakthroughs contained in the SREGEP program, the local government ensures that poor students still get access to quality education. Also have the opportunity to get scholarships for those who excel.

Imam also encouraged real contributions from companies in Bekasi Regency so that through the Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSLP) program they can help improve the quality of education in Bekasi Regency.

"We hope that with the industrial potential in Bekasi Regency, so many companies, through the TJSLP program can contribute to helping schools around or in Bekasi Regency, both in terms of infrastructure, increasing teacher capacity, and of course schools can improve," he said.
