PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BEKASI - The Bekasi Regional Government provides financial assistance (bankeu) for political parties that win seats in the Bekasi Regency DPRD as a result of the 2019 Legislative Election.

This assistance was handed over directly by Acting. Bekasi Regent, Dani Ramdan to 11 political party leaders in the KH Meeting Room. Mamun Nawawi, Central Cikarang Regency Government Complex (28/6/2024).

The eleven political parties are Gerindra Party, PKS, PDIP, Golkar, Democrat, PAN, PKB, PPP, Nasdem, Perindo and PBB.

Acting Regent Dani Ramdan said that this year political party financial assistance increased significantly from IDR 1,500 to IDR. 6,000 per vote won by the party in the Legislative Election (Pileg).

The total financial assistance for political parties in 2024 is IDR 5,715,872,000 sourced from the 2024 Bekasi Regency APBD.

He said, with the increase in financial assistance for political parties, the Bekasi Regency Government wants to encourage parties to have independence from the party's financial side.

It is also hoped that this increase will be able to prevent cadres and candidates from political transactions which endanger democracy in Bekasi Regency.

"That's what we hope for, for example, if a lot of the best cadres sometimes don't have the financial capacity, well, if the party has it, it can be funded by the party," he explained.

Apart from that, it is hoped that this assistance can be used for cadre formation activities, political education activities and so on.
