PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Bekasi Regency Jaoharul Alam accompanied by Head of Communication and Information Service Yan Yan Akhmad Kurnia and Head of IKP Division Rhamdan Nurul Ikhsan received a working visit from the West Java Provincial Information Commission which took place in the Bekasi Regent's Meeting Room, Tuesday (8/10/2024).

The visit was in the context of a visitation and presentation of monitoring the evaluation of Public Information Disclosure (KIP) in Bekasi Regency in 2024.

Jaoharul said that the monitoring and evaluation of public information disclosure from the West Java Information Commission is a routine agenda in order to evaluate information disclosure in Bekasi Regency. This is in order to carry out the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure.

In its implementation, continued Jaoharul, the Bekasi Regency Government (Pemdakab) through the Kominfosantik Service as the Main Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) has filled out a questionnaire before the monitoring and evaluation took place. Related to public information services to the community.

"This questionnaire is currently being visited and monitored. So the West Java Information Commission team came to check the accuracy of the data in the questionnaire related to the data in the questionnaire factually," he said after receiving a visit representing the Acting Regent of Bekasi Dedy Supriyadi.

After the implementation of the visitation and monitoring and evaluation, the West Java Information Commission will rank Bekasi Regency in terms of Public Information Disclosure.

He said that since 2022, the Bekasi Regency Government has been serious about improving public information services to the community. With the results that can be seen from the rankings that are getting better every year until the Informative Regency predicate is achieved.

"In 2022, we were categorized as a less informative district. Last year (2023) we jumped to the informative category, and this year we hope to make efforts to become an informative district," he said.

Head of the Bekasi Regency Communication and Information Service, Yan Yan Akhmad Kurnia, added that the Bekasi Regency Government through the Communication and Information Service as the Main PPID has prepared strategies and innovations in order to optimize public information services in Bekasi Regency.

He explained, regarding information service innovation, Diskominfosantik has developed an information request service that can be accessed digitally by the general public. This is to facilitate applicants for public information to public bodies.

"We have a feature through the PPID Menyala application, serving public information without any obstacles. This is to make it easier for the public to request information from the Bekasi Regency Government," he said.

Yan Yan hopes that this year Bekasi Regency can continue to move up to Informative Regency, although the predicate is not the main goal. However, this can be a benchmark for public information services in Bekasi Regency to improve, in terms of policy, strategy and implementation.

"Well, this is what we continue to improve," he said.

In the future, Yan Yan continued, the Bekasi District Government will begin to guide public bodies in villages to be in line with public information services at the district level.
