PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) through the Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo) gave awards for fulfilling the payment of telecommunications tower control levies to 16 telecommunications tower provider companies and operators in Bogor Regency.

The award was handed over directly by the Regional Secretary (Sekda), Burhanudin at the Bogor Regional Government's gathering with telecommunications service provider stakeholders, in the Diskominfo Office Hall, Cibinong, Monday (20/11/2023).

Representing the Regent of Bogor, Regional Secretary Burhanudin said that considering the vast area and large population of Bogor Regency, regional government resources in providing telecommunications services, which have now become a primary need, are of course very limited.

"I hope that the synergy and collaboration between the Bogor Regency Government and telecommunications associations can continue to develop, including the Indonesian Cellular Telecommunications Association (ATSI), the Telecommunications Tower Infrastructure Developers Association (Aspimtel) and the Telecommunications Network Operators Association (Apjatel)," he said.

Burhanudin said, on behalf of the Bogor Regional Government, he appreciated the companies that received awards for their approval in paying levies, during the period of collecting the Telecommunication Tower Control Levy (RPMT) from 2014, 2018 to 2023.

“The existence of technology facilitates access to information, education and health services, as well as enabling economic development through online marketing. "Digital connections also increase communication, community participation, and help reduce the development gap between urban and rural areas," he said.

He added, apart from that, technological infrastructure will increase the efficiency of basic services, stimulate innovation, and overall contribute to improving the quality of people's lives.

Head of the Bogor Regency Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo), Bayu Ramawanto, explained that Bogor Regency has 16 company partners engaged in providing telecommunications tower infrastructure.

"The award is given to those who pay telecommunications tower control levies, considering their excellent cooperation so far, so that the revenue target for telecommunications tower control levies always reaches the target, 100 percent," he said.

Bayu appreciated this event so that it could be the first step for the advancement of better telecommunications services to society in the future. Because telecommunications services have become one of the main infrastructure driving economic revival and can strengthen national unity.

"This event is not just a formal meeting, but also an important momentum for friendship, sharing ideas, thoughts and information that can bring positive changes to the progress of telecommunications, telecommunications availability and the communities we serve," he said. (rdp*)
