PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - In preparation for holding and counting votes for the 2024 General Election, the Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) together with the General Election Commission (KPU) of Bogor Regency held a simulation of voting and counting votes as well as using the Vote Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap) application in the 2024 General Election in Bogor Regency. The simulation was carried out in Parakan Jati Field, Susukan Village, Bojonggede District, Saturday (23/12/2023).

Bojonggede Subdistrict Head Tenny Ramdhani said, towards the 2024 simultaneous elections, commitment and joint efforts of all stakeholders are needed, so that the 2024 elections can be successful, safe, smooth, conducive, of quality and with integrity.

"The Bogor Regency Government really appreciates the implementation of this activity. Of course, we hope that with this simulation, the officers who have been appointed for voting and counting votes really understand the entire process of carrying out voting and counting votes so that they can run as they should," he said.

He added, regarding the use of Sirekap in the 2024 elections at TPS, of course we welcome it. We hope that using the Sirekap application can lighten the workload of KPPS and can reduce the efficiency of re-voting savings.

"Let's maintain conduciveness, be careful of hoaxes, avoid elements of violence and comply with all applicable rules and regulations regarding the 2024 Election. Together we will realize elections that are peaceful, coercive and have integrity for the progress of the nation," he added.

Plt. Chairman of the Bogor Regency KPU, Hery Setiawan, explained that the simulation of collecting and counting votes is important because we will adopt the use of new technology in collecting and distributing votes, namely the Sirekap application.

"We are also involving KPPS today, those who will hold the elections on February 14 2024. "I advise, be an election organizer with integrity, who truly gives trust to the people," he said.
