PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - The Bogor Regency Regional Government (Pemdakab) through the Culture and Tourism Service (Disbudpar) launched the Bogor Regency Exploration (Ekabo) application. This application is a digital promotional tool to make it easier for tourists to explore various tourist attractions in Bogor Regency.

Representing the Regent of Bogor, Regional Secretary (Sekda) Burhanudin launched the Ekabo application at Darmawan Park, Bogor Regency, Wednesday (13/12/2023).

Present to accompany the Regional Secretary, Assistant for Economy and Development, Expert Staff, Plt. Head of Disbudpar. Also present were representatives of Forkopimda, the Association of Tourism Actors, and the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Bogor Regency.

Burhanudin said that Bogor Regency is very rich in tourism potential, be it natural tourism, artificial tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, as well as special interest tourism. In accordance with the tagline " Sport & Tourism ", tourism is the leading sector of Bogor Regency which is expected to encourage faster regional economic growth.

"Today I represent the Regent of Bogor in launching the Ekabo application, which is an application related to development, increasing promotion and information on tourist attractions in Bogor Regency. "Whether natural, cultural, artificial tourism, special interest tourism, and so on, because we have all of that," he said.

He added that the Bogor Regional Government continues to strive to encourage the elaboration of tourism and creative economy in line with the 5A tourism concept, namely, accommodation, accessibility, amenities, attractions and activities so that culture, the tourism industry, MSMEs and the creative economy can develop together.

"Tourism potential in Bogor Regency must be promoted massively so that it can attract more tourists in order to drive the tourism industry and economy in Bogor Regency," he said.

Burhanudin appreciated Disbudpar's breakthrough in launching the Ekabo application. Hopefully, with the Ekabo application, it can attract more tourists and further stimulate tourism in Bogor Regency. Disbudpar must monitor the effectiveness of this application so that it is always updated with interesting features, so that it can function optimally as a means of digital tourism promotion for Bogor Regency.

Plt. Head of the Bogor Regency Culture and Tourism Office, Budi Cahyadi Wiryadi, explained that in this era of digitalization, ease of tourism, culture and creative economy information services is a demand for fulfilling the information needed by the public, especially prospective tourists who will visit Bogor Regency.

"In the current era of digitalization, there are so many applications that make things easier for us, especially potential tourists who want to travel to the Bogor Regency area. "Whether for holidays, business or sports," he said.

Budi said that this was the basis for Disbudpar creating the Ekoba application which contains cultural content, tourist attractions, accommodation, culinary, shopping, creative economy, events and trending tourist attractions. Various events held in Bogor Regency include the Bogor Overland Series, Gantole and Paragliding Festival, Jelajah Bogor and so on.

"With this application, it is hoped that tourists' trips will be more practical, because they don't need to access several applications," he said.

Budi said, currently the Ekabo application contains 1,783 tourist locations spread out and we will continue to update it according to existing developments. And just by downloading one Ekabo application, a dashboard will appear that meets tourists' information needs. (Diskominfo Bogor Regency/UPI)
