PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BOGOR - The Bogor Regional Government through the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) is committed to realizing a Child Friendly District (KLA).
One of them is by strengthening regulations by issuing Regional Regulation (Perda) number 3 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Child Friendly Districts.
This proves the seriousness of the Bogor District Government together with the DPRD and all relevant stakeholders in supporting the fulfillment of children's rights and child protection, as well as the best interests of children. Socialization of Regional Regulation No. 3 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Child Friendly Districts continues to be carried out, as the main institutional support for realizing KLA.
Representing the Head of DP3AP2KB Bogor Regency, Head of the PHPKA Division, Irna Yulistina explained, KLA is a development system that integrates the commitment of government resources, society, the business world and the media in ensuring the fulfillment of children's rights and special protection for children which is carried out in a planned, comprehensive and sustainable manner through institutions and five child rights clusters.
"The five child rights clusters include the civil rights and freedoms cluster, the family environment and alternative care cluster, the basic health and welfare cluster, the education cluster for the use of free time and arts and culture activities, and special protection for children," explained Irna.
Irna added, as with last year's experience in implementing the KLA evaluation, there were shortcomings which were a common problem, one of which was the lack of institutional regulations or the absence of specific KLA regional regulations.
"Thank God, this year the Bogor Regency Government and the DPRD have attempted to issue Regional Regulation no. 3 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of a Child Friendly District. "So this Regional Regulation becomes the main support for KLA institutions in Bogor Regency," added Irna.
Irna hopes that all departments, sub-districts, villages and sub-districts can socialize this regulation to all elements of society to support KLA, which will be realized by the formation of Child-Friendly Villages/Kelurahan (DEKELA) and Child-Friendly Districts (KELANA) to realize KLA with the Nindya category in 2024.
Secretary of Commission IV Bogor Regency DPRD, Dedi Aroza, said that this regional regulation is very important because it concerns the future of our children, in terms of education, health and so on. It's just a matter of how all existing stakeholders implement it together.
"So that in the future our children will have the right to a good education, the right to good health, and of course their welfare is guaranteed," explained Dedi.
