PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - Acting (Pj.) Regent of Garut, Barnas Adjidin, attended the opening of the 120th Regular TNI Manunggal Enter Village (TMMD) for the 2024 Fiscal Year.

This activity took place at Buleud Field, Cinta Damai Village, Sukaresmi District, Garut Regency, Wednesday (8/5/2024).

This year's TMMD program itself carries the theme "TMMD Dharma Bakti Realizing Accelerated Development in the Regions".

In his speech, the Acting Regent of Garut, revealed that TMMD is a collaborative program between the TNI, regional government and the community in a coordinated and integrated manner.

The implementation of this activity was technically carried out by Kodim 0611/Garut in order to build a village axis road with a length of approximately 4 kilometers connecting two villages in two sub-districts, namely Cinta Damai Village, Sukaresmi District and Pasirkiamis Village, Pasirwangi District.

"The construction of this village axis road will be very beneficial, because it will make it easier for the community to carry out activities effectively and efficiently," said Barnas.

Barnas added, apart from building physical facilities, the TMMD program also carries out other activities, such as counseling on national defense and national insight, health service outreach and other outreach.

Barnas hopes that the implementation of TMMD can exceed expectations. Therefore, he invited the TNI, Polri and the community to work together to complete the planned program.

Barnas also emphasized that his party will always fully support the implementation of TMMD in Garut Regency.

"Hopefully it will be quick with good quality, then later there will be other additions that can beautify and strengthen what we are doing," he stressed.

Barnas added that the activities carried out at TMMD this time were based on the wishes of the community based on the proportions that had been conveyed.

"And they have been saying for decades that they want a road, well now we can make it happen, of course the joy of the local community is that the existence of a shortcut can improve the economy," he said.

In line with Barnas Adjidin, Danrem 062/Tarumanagara, Colonel Arh Rudi Ragil, said that the targets of this year's TMMD program were based on direct submissions from village communities and had been studied.

"Earlier I said whether it becomes big or not, it depends on the target itself, if our budget is big, if we are given one month we can't afford it, then we will be like a problem, so we adjust it to the budget, adjust it to the target," he said.
