PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. BANDUNG - West Java Provincial Government is encouraging the reopening of exit KM 149 and gate KM 151 of the Padalarang - Cileunyi (Padaleunyi) Toll Road as access to and from the Gedebage area.

According to West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman, the presence of the KM149 toll exit and the KM 15 toll gate (GT) is very strategic in overcoming traffic jams in the Gedebage area which is increasingly busy with various activities.

"KM 149 and 151 are very strategic and we will accelerate them," said Herman Suryatman.

Tuesday (2/7/2024), the West Java Provincial Government together with the Ministry of PUPR, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Bandung City Government and stakeholders conducted a field inspection. Previously, a joint meeting was held at the KCIC Tegalluar office, Bandung Regency.

According to Herman, when these two road accesses are operational, they can become mainstay routes to enter several important places, such as GBLA Stadium, Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, Summarecon business and residential area, Whoosh Tegalluar High Speed Train Station, and several other busy points in East Bandung. .

For this reason, the Provincial Government continues to communicate with various parties, especially the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the PUPR Ministry, Jasa Marga, and other related parties to support the full operational feasibility of the KM 149 toll exit and the KM 151 toll gate.

With the support of various parties in a sabilulungan (mutual cooperation), it is hoped that the utilization of access to and from the Padaleunyi toll road in the Gedebage area can be realized as soon as possible.

"By working hand in hand with the government, business world and society, God willing, all development programs in West Java can be accelerated," said Herman Suryatman.

It is hoped that the importance of accelerating toll exit operations will only have implications for smooth traffic flow, but will also have a positive impact on the local economy.

Herman said, better access will facilitate the distribution of goods and services, which in turn can encourage economic growth in the region.

Accelerating the use of toll access is also part of efforts to improve inter-regional connectivity (Bandung Regency - Bandung City) which is in line with West Java's vision of sustainable development.

"With better infrastructure, it is hoped that the Gedebage area can develop into a more dynamic center of economic and social activities," concluded Herman.
