PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has prepared socio-economic assistance and legal assistance for victims of sexual harassment from obstetricians and gynecologists in Garut Regency. The assistance is covered by the government.

One of the victims currently lives in a house whose lease will soon expire.

"The first is the socio-economic aspect. Their contracts have run out. They are given a stimulus for one year to move house. The second is legal assistance. We have prepared it and it is free," said Dedi Mulyadi in Bandung City, Tuesday (15/4/2025).

KDM, Dedi Mulyadi's nickname, also said that perpetrators of sexual harassment must be dealt with immediately because being a doctor is a profession that has been sworn in.

"Well, it's like this, if a doctor harasses a patient in Garut, there is an ethics committee for doctors. Just stop him, revoke his doctor's license," said Dedi firmly.

He encouraged this action so that perpetrators of sexual harassment would receive a deterrent effect and there would be no more similar cases in the future.

This is in line with the dismissal of a teacher who committed sexual harassment in Sukabumi, who is currently in the process of having his ASN status revoked.
