PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government is collaborating with the Jayapura Regency Government, Papua to explore regional potential, improve public services and meritocracy-based ASN management.

Collaboration was carried out in the signing of an MoU between two regional governments at different levels at Gedung Sate, Jalan Diponegoro, Bandung City, Thursday (14/12/2023).

According to Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin, cooperation will further strengthen relations and ties between the two regions.

"(Cooperation) can be a motivation for regional officials to collaborate and create innovation, so that in the end they can provide the best service for the community," said Bey Machmudin.

Bey hopes that cooperation can be carried out well and that the field of cooperation can be expanded.

Acting Regent of Jayapura Triwarno Purnomo said that the West Java Provincial Government has the potential for excellence in public services and personnel, seen from the various awards it has won.

Even nationally, said Triwarno, West Java is a model for every work program in improving regional development.

"Moreover, currently with the new ASN Law, the mandate is to strengthen supervision of the merit system and digitize ASN management," he said.

"That is our motivation to carry out a comparative study in West Java. I am sure this collaboration will bring good things to us in Jayapura Regency, Papua Province," said Triwarno.
