PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov Jabar) will implement flexible work locations for employees through the Work From Anywhere (WFA) mechanism.
This policy is stated in Circular Letter Number 25/OT.01/ORG which was signed by the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, on behalf of the Governor of West Java.
This circular letter issued on March 18, 2025 is addressed to all Heads of Regional Apparatus, Expert Staff, Assistants, and Heads of Bureaus within the Regional Secretariat of West Java Province.
This policy is a follow-up to Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2023 concerning Working Days and Working Hours of Government Agencies and West Java Governor Regulation Number 102 of 2022 concerning Working Hours and Locations of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the West Java Provincial Government.
In addition, this policy also takes into account the Circular Letter of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Number 2 of 2025 concerning the adjustment of the implementation of ASN official duties during national holidays and joint leave for the Holy Day of Nyepi, Saka New Year 1947 and Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.
This flexibility of work location aims to anticipate the surge in community mobility during national holidays and joint leave periods. The implementation of WFA will take place from March 24 to 27, 2025, with exceptions for regional apparatus or work units that have direct service duties to the community.
Employees who wish to work with the WFA mechanism must submit an application via the K-Mob application, which will then be considered and approved by the Senior Leadership Position (JPT) and/or direct superior in each regional apparatus or work unit.
This approval is given taking into account the workload, working conditions and individual situation of the applicant.
Employees who carry out WFA duties are required to work with full responsibility and ensure that work targets are achieved according to the scope of their duties.
In addition, employees must maintain communication with their direct superiors or work teams to ensure smooth service and work unit tasks.
The work location must also support productivity, have adequate facilities and infrastructure, and not endanger the security, health, safety, or tarnish the good name of employees or the agency.
Regional apparatus and work units are encouraged to support the implementation of WFA by facilitating coordination through online or hybrid meetings.
With this policy, the West Java Provincial Government seeks to maintain the effectiveness of ASN work while supporting national policies in dealing with community mobility during the long holiday period.
