BADUNG DISTRICT -- West Java Provincial Government received the Best Regional Champion 2024 award from The Asian Post, at The Stone Hotel Kuta, Badung Regency, Friday (31/5/2024) evening.
The award was received by West Java Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman.
There are three awards received by the West Java Provincial Government, namely The 2nd Best Regional Champion 2024, The 2nd Best Province In Fiscal Index 2024, and The 2nd Best Province In Happiness Index 2024.
Regional Secretary Herman said that the award received was the result of the collective work of the community and government in creating a positive climate for economic growth.
"I think this is our collective achievement which indicates that fiscal management in West Java is relatively good. Likewise, we must be grateful for the economic condition which has reached 5 percent growth," said Herman Suryatman when met after the event.
Herman also said that the West Java Provincial Government would prepare a solution to reduce the unemployment rate and also eradicate emok banks (mobile banks) which are still roaming the community. This was done so that economic growth in West Java remained stable.
"But West Java still has homework to do, but God willing, we can still get through it together, namely how we reduce unemployment, including how we deal with emok banks. I think it requires working hand in hand with mutual cooperation from all parties," he said.
Meanwhile, Eko B Supriyanto, Founder of The Asian Post, revealed that The Regional Champion 2024 event was based on research to give awards to regional governments that are committed to eradicating KKN practices.
"We researched and created the event 'The Regional Champions 2024'. How regional governments and regionally owned business entities that are used as research objects cannot be separated from the shadow of KKN practices," said Eko.
"Even so, there are still many regional governments and BUMDs that have succeeded in achieving satisfactory indexes from the indicators assessed," he concluded.
