PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government has officially determined the amount of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) and the Regency/City Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSK) for 2026.

This regulation represents a strategic step by the West Java Provincial Government to provide protection for workers, while simultaneously maintaining the investment climate and business continuity in various leading sectors.

Based on the Decree of the Governor of West Java Number 561/Kep.862-Kesra/2025, the UMK in 27 districts/cities in West Java in 2026 was determined based on the recommendations of the Regent/Mayor in accordance with regulations regarding Minimum Wages.

The highest minimum wage in West Java is in Bekasi City at Rp5,999,443, and the lowest is in Pangandaran Regency at Rp2,351,250. The minimum wage must be greater than the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

Determination of the 2026 Minimum Wage (UMSK)

In line with this determination, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has also signed Governor's Decree Number 561.7/Kep.863-Kesra/2025 concerning the 2026 Regency/City Sectoral Minimum Wage (UMSK) on December 24, 2025.

In accordance with the decree's dictum, the UMSK amount may not be lower than the 2026 Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) and will come into effect on January 1, 2026.

The following is a list of the UMSK amounts in 12 regencies/cities in West Java for 2026:
1. Bekasi City: Rp. 6,028,033
2. Bekasi Regency: Rp. 5,941,759
3. Karawang Regency: Rp. 5,910,371
4. Depok City: Rp. 5,551,084
5. Bogor Regency: Rp. 5,187,305
6. Bandung City: Rp. 4,760,048
7. Cimahi City: Rp. 4,110,892
8. West Bandung Regency: Rp. 3,986,558
9. Subang Regency: Rp. 3,739,042
10. Indramayu Regency: Rp. 3,729,638
11. Tasikmalaya City: Rp. 3,185,622
12. Cirebon Regency: Rp2,882,366

The West Java Provincial Government has emphasized that all employers who have paid wages higher than the UMSK provisions are prohibited from reducing or lowering their workers' wages.

This decision was taken after considering the recommendations of the Regent and Mayor, as well as the suggestions and considerations of the Provincial Wage Council, as well as aspirations from various parties so that the regional economic conditions remain stable.

The Regency/City Minimum Wage and/or Regency/City Sectoral Minimum Wage only applies to workers with less than one year of service. For workers with more than one year of service, wages are paid using the Wage Structure and Scale scheme.
