The West Java Provincial Government Demonstrates its Commitment to Information Transparency in the 2025 KIP Public Test

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of West Java Erwan Setiawan explained the strategy and concrete steps of the West Java Provincial Government in realizing an open government at the 2025 Public Information Openness Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) Public Test Presentation held by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia at the Grand Mercure Jakarta, Wednesday (11/19/2025).

In his presentation, Deputy Governor Erwan emphasized that public information transparency is an important foundation in every development policy towards a Special West Java.

According to him, all policies of the West Java Provincial Government are always conveyed transparently and accountably through the social media communication networks of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Regional Secretary, and regional apparatus.

"Yes, one way is through the Governor's social media, my social media, the Regional Secretary's, and also the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD). We continue to promote public information transparency. The Communications and Information Service (Diskominfo) is also actively providing information to the public," said Deputy Governor Erwan.

In addition to optimizing the power of social media, Erwan explained that the West Java Provincial Government is also implementing a strategy to distribute information evenly to remote areas through the Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga Program.

This program is presented to ensure that the state is closer to the people through fast and responsive public services.

"The Abdi Nagri Nganjang Ka Warga program is presented as concrete evidence that the state or government is truly present and close to the people by providing fast public services," said Erwan.

He also stated that despite only being in office for 10 months with Governor Dedi Mulyadi, various innovations have been created to strengthen public information services.

These innovations include the Jabarprov Portal, JSite, West Java Hotline, Sapawarga, West Java Data Ecosystem, West Java Dashboard, West Java Saber Hoaks, disability-friendly information services, Nyari Gawe Application, Independent Digital Samsat, Sambara, Simawas Pagi, Wargi Jabar, Teman Jabar, Simojang, Singmanfaat, Sampah Kita, T-Rec Mental Hospital, to citizen complaint services at Saung Kapeurih Lembur Pakuan and Bale Pananggeuhan Gedung Sate.

With these various steps, Deputy Governor Erwan targets the West Java Provincial Government to maintain its Informative predicate in the 2025 Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation through consistent policies, innovation, and a continuously strengthened public information dissemination strategy.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Provincial Communications and Informatics Office, Adi Komar, emphasized that his office continues to strengthen communication networks with district/city governments, including amidst budget efficiency challenges, through routine technical guidance training for PPID.

"We understand that several districts/cities are implementing budget efficiency measures. Therefore, the West Java Communications and Information Office is facilitating routine monthly technical guidance for the Public Information Committee (PPID) by inviting the Information Commission and relevant resource persons," Adi said.

Adi explained that the training not only strengthened public information governance but also increased the PPID's capacity to deal with the rise of hoaxes.

Routine coordination is carried out to ensure that the PPID can validate information quickly and accurately so that the public receives correct information.

With targeted and sustained efforts, the West Java Provincial Government affirms its commitment to strengthening public information transparency toward a Special West Java. (*pim)
