PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Regional Government of West Java Province launched J-Site, a website management and development platform for regional officials in West Java to facilitate the development and management of websites in every OPD with low costs and existing human resources.
J-Site was created to standardize the user interface and web architecture information for regional devices in West Java in the integrated ecosystem of the jabarprov.go.id portal. It is hoped that this can achieve standardization of all websites in all regional apparatus within the West Java Provincial Government.
West Java Province Regional Secretary Herman Suryatman, at the launch of J-Site via online channels, Tuesday ( 2/7/2024 ), emphasized that the development or use of technology must lead to public services and community welfare.
"Everything we do as a government, including the use of J-Site technology, must lead to the welfare of the community," stressed Herman.
According to him, the policies taken by the government for the welfare of society must be based on accurate data. With the right data, the right policies will also be produced.
"Technology that provides the right data will help the process of making good decisions and benefit society, that's the point," he added.
Herman also appreciated the presence of J-Site which was developed by the West Java Communication and Information Service (Diskominfo) to make it easier for regional officials to develop their respective websites .
Head of West Java Diskominfo Ika Mardiah said that technical guidance (bimtek) on the use of J-Site to all regional officials in West Java would be implemented soon.
"We will divide the technical guidance for regional officials into five batches until August 2024. Meanwhile, for launching to the public , the target is no later than December 2024," said Ika.
He added that the public also needs J-Site to make it easier and faster to access integrated government websites .
Chairman of the West Java Information Commission (KI) Ijang Faisal supports the launch of J-Site which is facilitated by the West Java Diskominfo.
According to Ijang, J-Site is in line with Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information.
"This technology supports efforts to open information. In this era, no information is kept secret anymore, only a little is excluded. In the past, all information was confidential, only a little could be opened to the public," said Ijang.
