PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government appreciates Dafa Al Gasemi, the goalkeeper of the Indonesian U-17 National Team from Cikarang, for his success in leading Indonesia to qualify for the 2025 U-17 World Cup. This award was presented directly by the Regent of Bekasi, Ade Koswara Kunang, at an official welcoming ceremony at the Bekasi Regency DPRD Building, Tuesday (23/4/2025).

Ade felt proud of Dafa's achievements, which not only brought honor to the Indonesian National Team, but also brought pride to Bekasi Regency.

"We are very proud because there is a main actor from the U-17 National Team who is a native son of Bekasi Regency. This shows that the potential of our region is very large," he said.

As a form of full support for sports achievements, especially football, Ade emphasized that the Bekasi Regency Government will continue to support the development of sports in the region. The government is also committed to providing awards to athletes with achievements as motivation for the younger generation to continue to compete and achieve.

"We will always provide support to regional athletes who excel. The most important thing is how our athletes can give their best in every competition they participate in," said Regent Ade Koswara Kunang.

The Regent also touched on the evaluation of the management of Persikasi Bekasi, the region's pride football club. He emphasized that the Bekasi Regency Government will continue to monitor and conduct evaluations to ensure the team's progress, and provide more support if the team's development shows positive results.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Bekasi Regency DPRD, Ade Sukron, said that Dafa's achievement was a matter of extraordinary pride.

"From millions of young people in Indonesia, Dafa is one of the few who succeeded. This is proof that Bekasi Regency has great potential in producing football talents," said Ade Sukron.

The chairman of the Bekasi Regency PSSI, Hamun Sutisna, explained that Dafa started his football career at the age of 9 at SSB Aqua Haier, which is under the auspices of the Bekasi Regency PSSI.

"Dafa has been participating in competitions since an early age, and has now succeeded in bringing the name of Bekasi Regency to the international level. This is a source of pride for all of us," said Hamun Sutisna.

Dafa Al Gasemi's success in the U-17 World Cup is expected to be an inspiration for the young generation of Bekasi to continue to hone their talents and achievements in the world of sports.
