PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - Bekasi Regency Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin together with the Cikarang Branch of BPJS Kesehatan is encouraging the expansion of National Health Insurance (JKN) participation through the JKN Donation Program involving the business world at the Swatantra Wibawa Mukti Building, Central Cikarang, as an effort to maintain the sustainability of public health protection through a cross-sectoral mutual cooperation scheme.

The socialization activity was attended by local governments, BPJS Kesehatan, and business actors who have the potential to contribute to financing JKN membership collaboratively.

Bekasi Regency Secretary Endin Samsudin stated that strengthening this collaboration is a crucial strategy amidst regional fiscal adjustments to ensure optimal and sustainable health insurance financing.

He emphasized that synergy between the government, BPJS, and the business world is needed to ensure that public health services remain protected.

"This is a collaboration between the government, BPJS Kesehatan (Social Security Agency), and the business sector. To achieve budget efficiency, we continue to promote this synergy so that JKN financing can be more optimal and sustainable," said Endin Samsudin in Central Cikarang (June 19, 2026).

Endin explained that part of the funding for Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) participants, which was previously covered by the regional budget, is now being adjusted to include support from the state budget, necessitating the involvement of the private sector.

Bekasi Regency is recorded as having around 8,000 companies, with 2,500 of them in the medium to large category that are expected to participate in the JKN donation program.

Head of the Cikarang BPJS Kesehatan Branch, Erwin Fadillah, said the program optimizes cross-sector collaboration to maintain the sustainability of JKN membership amidst regional fiscal dynamics.

He explained that to date, around 28 business entities have signed a cooperation agreement for the JKN donation program.

The company contribution scheme is set at a minimum of 10 heads of families or around 100 participants with contributions of around IDR 35 thousand per participant per month or around IDR 42 million per year for 100 participants.

Erwin added that this program also provides added value for the company as part of its social responsibility or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) while also improving the image of the business world's social concern.

He assessed that the benefits of this program outweigh the contributions made because it is able to help ensure the sustainability of public access to health services.

"The benefits received by the community far outweigh the contributions made. A single medical procedure, such as heart surgery, can cost hundreds of millions of rupiah," he said.

The Bekasi Regency Government hopes that this expanded collaboration will strengthen JKN coverage and ensure sustainable public health protection through cross-sectoral collaboration.
