PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government supports strengthening the role of labor unions as strategic partners in creating harmonious, productive, and equitable industrial relations.

This was conveyed by the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dr. Asep Surya Atmaja, while attending the Inauguration of the Central Leadership of the Electrical Electronic Workers Union of the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Unions (PP SPEE FSPMI) for the 2026-2031 Period at the Swiss-Belinn Jababeka Hotel, North Cikarang, Thursday (11/6/2026).

The Acting Regent of Bekasi congratulated all newly appointed administrators and hoped that the mandate given to them would be carried out with full responsibility, integrity, and commitment in fighting for workers' interests.

"On behalf of the Bekasi Regency Government, I congratulate all the administrators inaugurated today. I hope they will carry out the mandate entrusted to them with full responsibility, integrity, and commitment to fighting for workers' interests while maintaining harmonious, dynamic, and equitable industrial relations," said Asep.

According to him, Bekasi Regency, as one of the largest industrial areas in Indonesia, plays a crucial role in supporting national economic growth. The thousands of companies and millions of workers operating in the region make the existence of labor unions strategic in maintaining employment stability.

Asep emphasized that the progress of the industrial world is not only determined by the size of investment or technological development, but also by the quality of the relationship between workers, employers, and the government.

"We believe that industrial progress is determined not only by investment and technology, but also by the quality of relationships between workers, employers, and the government. Therefore, the spirit of dialogue, deliberation, and cooperation must continue to be prioritized in resolving the various labor challenges that exist," he said.

Furthermore, the Bekasi Regency Government is committed to continuously promoting healthy industrial relations and maintaining a conducive investment climate. Furthermore, improving worker welfare is also a key priority as part of sustainable regional development.

"We, the Bekasi Regency Government, will certainly remain committed to promoting healthy industrial relations, maintaining investment stability, and improving worker welfare as part of our efforts to realize a Resurgent, Advanced, and Prosperous Bekasi Regency," he emphasized.

On that occasion, Asep also hoped that the new management of PP SPEE FSPMI would be able to become an organization that is increasingly professional and adaptive to the developments in the ever-changing industrial world.

"I hope the new management of PP SPEE FSPMI can become a more professional organization, adapt to current developments, and be able to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of human resources and industrial competitiveness in Bekasi Regency and Indonesia," he said.

Asep also congratulated all newly inaugurated administrators and expressed his hope that the organization would continue to contribute to creating conducive industrial relations for the advancement of workers, the business world, and regional development.
