PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - The Bekasi Regency Government affirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability in regional financial management by participating in the 2025 Regional Government Financial Report (LKPD) Audit Entry Meeting with the West Java Representative of the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK RI).
The activity, which was carried out virtually, was attended by Acting Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja in his office and Regional Secretary Endin Samsudin, from the Diskominfosantik Command Center, Cikarang Pusat Regency Complex, Thursday (2/4/2026).
Endin Samsudin explained that this entry meeting was the next stage of the audit process, which had previously entered the data collection phase for one month. In this second phase, the BPK will conduct a more in-depth audit over the next 40 days.
"This is actually the second phase. The first phase involved data collection for a month. After that, a more rigorous inspection will be conducted over the next 40 days or so," he said.
To prepare for this process, the Bekasi Regency Government has prepared various data required by the audit team. He emphasized that all regional government agencies are required to be cooperative and responsive to data requests from the BPK.
"What we prepare is data. We prepare whatever the examiner requests. This means we are also cooperative," he said.
Furthermore, Endin said that the audit conducted by the BPK aims to encourage regional governments to be more transparent, accountable, and disciplined in preparing and submitting financial reports.
According to him, these principles have actually been implemented by the Bekasi Regency Government in its governance so far.
"Essentially, this audit encourages local governments to be transparent, accountable, and disciplined in reporting. That's what we've actually been doing," he said.
He also directed all regional apparatus not to hesitate to coordinate and consult if they encounter obstacles or problems during the inspection process.
"Be cooperative and transparent. Please convey any data requested by the examiner. If you have any questions, please consult with us," he emphasized.
By participating in this entry meeting, the Bekasi Regency Government hopes that the 2025 Regional Financial Report audit process will proceed smoothly and further strengthen accountable and reliable regional financial governance. (Bekasi Regency Communications and Information Office/rka)
