PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - The Regent of Ciamis released 314 athletes and officials who will compete in the 2026 West Java Regional Student Sports Week and the XIII Se-Kunci Bersama Inter-Border Region Sports and Arts Week (19/6/2026) with a message to uphold sportsmanship while bringing honor to Ciamis Regency.

The contingent's send-off took place at the Ciamis Regency Hall Yard as a form of local government support for sports coaching and the development of high-achieving athletes.

The Regent of Ciamis said that the athletes brought good name to the region and were expected to compete with full enthusiasm and show their best abilities in every match.

"You represent Ciamis Regency. Compete with full enthusiasm and show your best," he said.

The Regent emphasized that success is not only measured by winning medals, but also by discipline, ethics, and sportsmanship during the competition.

"Achievement is something to be proud of, but sportsmanship is an honor that will always be remembered," he stressed.

He invited all athletes, coaches, officials, managers, and support teams to maintain unity in order to achieve the best results.

"There is no victory without togetherness. Maintain unity and support each other in every step," he said.

The Regent also asked all athletes to believe in the results of the training they have undergone so that they can appear confident in the competition arena.

"Trust the results of your training. Show your best with confidence," he said.

At the 2026 West Java Regional Student Sports Week, Ciamis Regency sent 142 people consisting of 89 athletes, 14 coaches, 28 officials, and 11 technical and health team personnel to participate in five sports.

Meanwhile, the 13th Inter-Border Region Sports and Arts Week in Se-Kunci Bersama 2026 will be attended by 172 people consisting of 105 athletes, 37 managers, 14 coaches, and 16 technical and health team personnel who will compete in 14 sports.

The Regent hopes that the contingent's participation will not only result in achievements, but also shape the character of athletes who uphold sportsmanship, discipline, and brotherhood.

"Go with determination, compete with honor, and return home with pride for Ciamis Regency," he concluded.
