PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - Garut Regent, Abdusy Syakur, conducted coordination and consultation regarding the Government Cooperation with Business Entities (KPBU) project for the provision of Street Lighting Equipment (APJ) infrastructure with the Director of Government Support Management and Infrastructure Financing (PDPPI) of the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, Heri Setiawan, at the PDPPI Office of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Wednesday (9/9/2026).

This step was taken to accelerate the fulfillment of public street lighting needs in various areas of Garut Regency through infrastructure financing support from the central government.

The Regent of Garut appreciated the acceptance of the ranks of the PDPPI Directorate of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance regarding the application for a Project Development Facility (PDF) submitted by the Garut Regency Government.

"Essentially, we are requesting assistance for infrastructure procurement in Garut Regency, particularly street lighting," said Abdusy Syakur.

He hopes the application process will run smoothly so that the benefits can be felt by the community immediately.

"Hopefully, it will be realized, and I would like to thank Mr. Heri Setiawan and his staff. I hope that what we have implemented can soon be obtained by Garut Regency," he said.

The Director of PDPPI DJPPR, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Heri Setiawan, welcomed the Garut Regency Government's initiative to utilize creative financing schemes for regional development.

"We welcome the Regent's initiative and will process his PDF application and expedite the process so that hopefully, next year, the street lighting will be available," Heri said.

Through the KPBU scheme and PDF support from the Ministry of Finance, the Garut Regency Government is committed to accelerating the distribution of safe and well-lit road infrastructure for the community.
