PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Assistant for Economics and Development of the Regional Secretary of Garut Regency, Dedy Mulyadi, opened the Dream Home Exhibition (PRI) Vol. IV, (26/8/2026).

The exhibition took place at the Atrium Citimall Garut, Karangpawitan District, to help the public obtain information on decent and subsidized housing.

The Garut Regency Government provides exemption from Land and Building Acquisition Tax (BPHTB) for Low-Income Communities (MBR).

This policy reduces the cost of home ownership so that low-income people can obtain housing with a lighter initial burden.

"So, people who need subsidized housing are welcome to waive their BPHTB," said Dedy Mulyadi.

The public can also take advantage of bank financing through the Housing Credit Program (KPP) and the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP).

"Please take advantage of the low, affordable interest rates. We certainly hope that good housing will positively impact social life, health, and family well-being," he added.

Organizing Chairman Agus Ismail said the exhibition is an annual event to support the national priority program of providing three million homes.

The exhibition will last for five days, from August 26 to 30, 2026, presenting a variety of housing options for the community.

"The government has a duty and obligation to meet the community's needs for livable housing to improve welfare. Therefore, the Garut Regency Government is constantly striving to synergize with all stakeholders," Agus said.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Indonesian Housing and Settlement Developers Association (APERSI) of Garut Regency, Najiman, said that 14 developers participated in the exhibition.

Developer participation includes commercial and subsidized housing so that people have more housing options according to their financial capabilities.

"As developers, particularly those at APERSI, we can help the local government provide decent and quality housing in Garut Regency. I hope our fellow developers remain committed to maintaining housing quality and maintaining consumer trust," Najiman emphasized.
