PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) expressed its appreciation for the implementation of the 2026 Year End Performance of the Garut Rainbow School which took place at the Garut Pendopo Building, Jalan Kiansantang, Garut City District, Garut Regency, Wednesday (10/6/2026).
Iyan Sopiyan, Head of the Early Childhood Education and Community Education (Dikmas) Division of the Garut Regency Education Office, expressed his pride in the event's implementation at the Garut Pendopo Building. He stated that the utilization of local government facilities aligns with the leadership's directive to optimize regional assets and adapt to current economic conditions, rather than holding events at hotels.
Iyan also commended Sekolah Pelangi Garut's consistent approach to providing a comprehensive range of educational services, from early childhood education (PAUD), playgroups (Kober), kindergarten, and elementary school. He believes the school excels in implementing English-language education.
However, he reminded school administrators to continue to maintain solidity and orderly administration, especially in updating the Basic Education Data (Dapodik).
"We believe that Pelangi School should continue to coordinate with the Garut Regency Education Office. We will also provide information on Dapodik and other information from the Ministry," he stressed.
On the same occasion, the Principal of Sekolah Pelangi Kindergarten, Suci Sofa Arofani, explained that the annual event was structured differently than in previous years. In accordance with government recommendations regarding restrictions on formal graduation ceremonies within the school environment, the event was transformed into a platform for students to express themselves.
"Because there's been a recommendation not to hold graduation ceremonies, we're holding the event like a send-off. The children will perform, and we'll show them appreciation by allowing them to express themselves freely and showcase whatever they want," he said.
During the event, 16 kindergarten students (Kindergarten Two) and two elementary school students showcased their diverse skills and creativity. The performances included storytelling, dancing, and reciting short verses from the Quran.
Through these activities, the school provides space for students to demonstrate the abilities, interests, and talents that have been developed during the learning process.
Suci hopes that the momentum of the graduation ceremony can motivate students to continue learning and developing at the next level of education.
"We hope the children will maintain their enthusiasm in the future, we will continue to show appreciation, and perhaps rainbows will become more widely known," he concluded. (Garut Communications and Information Service/rka)
