PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) won three awards for Excellent Population Administration (Adminduk) at the West Java Province Level in 2026. The awards were presented at a Joint Roll Call led by the Regent of Garut, Abdusy Syakur Amin, at the Regional Secretariat (Setda) Field of Garut Regency, Jalan Pembangunan, Tarogong Kidul District, Monday (28/9/2026).
In this event, the Regent of Garut received the Best Supervisor 1 Adminduk Prima award in the category of districts/cities with low population density from the Governor of West Java.
In addition, the Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) of Garut Regency won the First Best predicate in the same category in the West Java performance assessment, as well as the Best Front Office 1 Adminduk Prima in 2026.
Responding to the award as Best Supervisor 1, the Regent of Garut said that his main task as a supervisor is to remind all officials to always provide the best service to the community without any ulterior motives.
"I continue to inform all parties involved in the service. Earlier, I asked if there were any for health, or for other purposes. This is important so that people can be measured and compared, and so that they don't feel superior," said the Regent.
He also expressed his appreciation to the ranks of the Garut Regency Population and Civil Registry Office for their dedication and performance in providing excellent service to the community.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Garut Regency Population and Civil Registration Office, Rena Sudrajat, explained that the award was based on a comprehensive assessment of service quality and innovation. Garut Regency falls into the category of having a population density of under 1,000 people.
"Alhamdulillah, based on the assessment related to service and innovation at the Garut Population and Civil Registration Office, Garut Regency achieved the best first place," said Rena.
Going forward, Rena emphasized her commitment to continue developing various innovations to provide easy access to population document services for all Garut residents.
"The Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) is currently striving to remain in the community to provide closer, faster, and, of course, free services," he stressed.
He hopes that this series of awards will motivate local government officials, particularly the Civil Registration and Population Service (Disdukcapil), to continue providing optimal and satisfactory public services.
"God willing, we will continue to innovate to provide beneficial services to the community," he concluded. (Garut Communications and Information Service/rka)
