PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The Garut Regency Government has begun drafting a Regional Action Plan for Integrated Holistic Early Childhood Development to strengthen integrated education, health, nutrition, care, and child protection services in Garut Regency (11/3/2026).
The Garut Regency Education Office initiated the preparation of the action plan through the Early Childhood Education Institutional and Management Development activity at the Al Musaddadiyah High School Hall, Tarogong Kidul District.
Around 90 participants from various regional agencies and stakeholders attended the activity to formulate strategic steps for developing cross-sectoral early childhood services.
Head of the Early Childhood Education and Community Education Division of the Garut Regency Education Office, Iyan Sopiyan, emphasized that the preparation of the regional action plan cannot be done partially and therefore requires input from various related agencies.
"After that, God willing, if this becomes the legal basis and is signed by the Regent, we will then disseminate it to the sub-districts. We will also invite members of HIMPAUDI and IGTKI to prepare for the dissemination to each sub-district," said Iyan Sopiyan.
Head of the Legal Section of the Garut Regency Regional Secretariat, Ida Nurfarida, explained that the preparation of the regional action plan can serve as a guideline for local governments and stakeholders in providing holistic, integrated early childhood education services.
"I hope that the establishment of this action plan will serve as a guideline for local governments and other stakeholders involved in the holistic and integrated early childhood development task force," said Ida Nurfarida.
Representative of the West Java Center for Education Quality Assurance, Arlina, appreciated the Garut Regency Government's move to begin drafting a regional action plan, as it already had a regent's regulation and an early childhood development task force.
Arlina said that the program's implementation will involve various regional agencies such as the Health Service, Social Services, Population and Civil Registration Service, Communication and Information Service, and other regional agencies related to child protection.
"We hope that Garut Regency can provide optimal services related to quality PAUD services and increase the participation rate in early childhood education towards Indonesia Emas 2045," said Arlina.
