PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is opening opportunities for collaboration with the Imah Central Group regarding handling waste emergencies. This was conveyed in an audience at Bandung City Hall, Thursday (23/11/2023).

On this occasion, Acting (Pj) Mayor of Bandung Bambang Tirtoyuliono appreciated the presence of the Imah Central Group which for the second time had an audience with the Bandung City Government.

According to Bambang, this shows the seriousness of the Imah Central Group to become a partner with the Bandung City Government in dealing with various current issues.

"This confirms that the Imah Central Group exists to work together to find solutions to problems in the city of Bandung," he said.

Bambang hopes that the Imah Central Group will coordinate with the ranks of Regional Apparatus (PD) in the Bandung City Government in the context of handling the waste emergency period together with the Bandung City Regional Secretariat Government Assistant and the Bandung City Environmental Service (DLH).

"Let's realize the ideas we have. Please coordinate with the Assistant and DLH," he said.

In line with Bambang, Bandung City Government Assistant for Government and People's Welfare Asep Gufron also welcomed the presence of the Imah Central Group.

According to him, in running the government, the Bandung City Government needs parties who have supervisory and partner functions.

"Of course. If it has something to do with the handling, we need to follow up," he said.

Bandung City DLH Secretary Sofyan Hernadi said that the concept of collaborative waste management between the Bandung City Government and the Imah Central Group might be realized in waste handling at the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) level.

"Regarding handling this waste problem, basically we are not limited to just one technology. "The approach taken can also include TPS, and can be tested too," he said

On the same occasion, Central Group Representative Imah Abah Mansur said that the presence of his group, which was a combination of seven mass organizations in Bandung City (BBC, GMBI, Pancasila Youth, AMS, Gibas, Gajah Putih, and Manggala) was a concrete manifestation that we wanted to create Bandung is Conducive.

According to him, to realize the slogan Conducive Bandung, there are several things that need to be supported. Starting from programs, community aspirations, and much more.

"We need to inform the Mayor (Acting Mayor) and the ranks of the Bandung City Government OPD. "We are here to encourage the creation of a more conducive Bandung City," he said. (Diskominfo Bandung City/UPI)
