PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) continues to intensify clean-up efforts in various corners of the city as part of its efforts to maintain a comfortable, healthy, and orderly environment.

The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, said that cleaning activities will continue to be carried out routinely and become a shared culture among Bandung City residents.

He conveyed this when attending the Clean-Up Action ahead of the Persib Match with Clean Action at the Cikapundung River, Saturday (23/5/2026).

Since morning, he has been traveling around several areas such as Pajajaran, Pasirkaliki and Jalan Aceh to ensure that the cleanliness movement is running optimally.

"Today, we're carrying out a cleanup campaign throughout Bandung. I've already toured every corner of the city," said Farhan.

He stated that the clean-up activity, known as "kurve," has become a regular tradition in Bandung. In fact, every Sunday morning, city government officials, along with various community groups, begin cleaning the city at 4:00 a.m. WIB.

"We will continue to hold curves every day. It's become a tradition in Bandung every Sunday, starting at 4:00 a.m. WIB, that we will definitely hold curves throughout the city," he said.

Farhan believes that maintaining the city's cleanliness is not solely the government's responsibility. He believes that successful environmental protection depends heavily on the collaboration of all elements of society who care about Bandung.

"In maintaining city cleanliness and protecting the environment, the Bandung City Government can never do it alone. There's always extraordinary support from everyone who loves the city of Bandung," he said.

On the occasion, Farhan also expressed his appreciation for the involvement of athletes and students from various top universities who participated in the event. He noted that cross-community synergy provides positive energy to continue maintaining the cleanliness and well-being of Bandung.

"We are very honored to be able to collaborate with the best athletes from the best universities in Indonesia and in Bandung," he said. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/rka)
