PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is determined to improve the quality of infrastructure for the comfort and safety of residents. This determination is realized in the road repair program on Jalan Ibrahim Adjie and Jalan Nyland as an initial step in handling road infrastructure in Bandung City, Wednesday (26/2/2025).
"We don't want any more potholes that endanger the public. Infrastructure is one of our priorities so that Bandung residents can live comfortably," said Bandung Deputy Mayor Erwin when opening the road repair program.
In this program, the Bandung City Government through the Water Resources and Highways Agency (DSDABM) has prepared a rapid response unit to follow up on residents' reports regarding potholes, damaged sidewalks, and other infrastructure that needs repair.
"Residents who find damaged roads can immediately report it through the DSDABM hotline at 0821 2333 5304 or directly to their Instagram at @bdg.dsdabm," he said.
Erwin said that if there is no follow-up within 2-3 days, they can submit complaints directly in the Jumahan program, which is a discussion session with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor every Friday after Friday prayers.
In addition to road repairs, the Bandung City Government is also focusing on various aspects of supporting infrastructure, such as:
1. Public Street Lighting (PJU)
If a street light goes out, residents can immediately report it to the Transportation Agency (Dishub) hotline at 0811 2022 3399 and Instagram @bdg.dishub.
2. Tree and Green Space Care
If a tree falls or blocks access to a house, the public can contact the Housing Service hotline at 0812 2241 2484 and Instagram @bdg.dpkp, Residential Area (DPKP).
3. Road Repair and River Management
The Bandung City Government also asked DSDABM to comb rivers that are prone to landslides or have experienced infrastructure damage, such as broken embankments.
Erwin emphasized that this program is not just ceremonial, but will continue every day as part of efforts to build a better Bandung.
"We want to be leaders who truly work for the welfare of the people of Bandung City. There is no 100-day program, because we will work every day to ensure the welfare of the residents," he said.
With this program, it is hoped that the community can be more active in participating in monitoring and reporting the condition of infrastructure in their environment, so that repairs can be carried out more quickly and on target.
