PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - A warm and family atmosphere was felt when the Working Group (Pokja) of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Bandung City held a Halal Bihalal event at the PWI Bandung City Working Group Secretariat, Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Monday, (14/4/2025).

This activity became a special momentum that took place simply but was full of intimate and meaningful nuances, especially with the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin.

Erwin expressed his appreciation for the important role of PWI as a strategic partner of the government in disseminating correct and balanced information.

"PWI must be at the forefront, reporting what is wrong and what is right. Not only conveying good things, but constructive criticism also needs to be given," said Erwin.

On that occasion, he hoped that the PWI of Bandung City would continue to provide real benefits to the community through educational and objective news reporting.

"With the spirit of collaboration, communication, and synergy that is continuously maintained, we can build a symbiotic mutualistic relationship between the government and the press," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the PWI Bandung City Working Group, Zaenal Ihsan, expressed his gratitude for the holding of this event and appreciated the performance of the Bandung City Government (Pemkot).

"We see that the Bandung City Government currently prioritizes the interests of residents and places regulations as the main foundation for development," he said.

Zaenal emphasized his commitment to contribute through PWI's strategic role in conveying government programs to the wider community.

"We also contribute according to our function, which is to communicate various programs to directly touch the community. Alhamdulillah, with the secretariat facilitated by the City Government, we can work more optimally," he continued.

The event was closed with a joint prayer as a symbol of togetherness and hope for a better future, then continued with a joint lunch that further strengthened the sense of family among the attendees. (Diskominfo Kota Bandung/Fau)
