PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has once again achieved national success. Under the leadership of Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan, the city earned the Third Best National Award in the 2026 Integrated One-Stop Service (PTSP) and Business Acceleration (PPB) Performance Assessments for Regional Governments.

The award was received directly by the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, at the 2026 Investment Service Award event held at the Nusantara Auditorium of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), South Jakarta, Tuesday, (16/9/2026).

On that occasion, Farhan was accompanied by the Head of the Bandung City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Eric M. Athauriq, and the Head of the Bandung City Population and Civil Registration Agency, Tatang Muchtar.

Farhan said the award was proof that the Bandung City Government's efforts to reform the bureaucracy and improve the quality of public services were on the right track.

"This award is not merely a matter of achievement, but also a recognition of the hard work of all levels of the Bandung City Government in providing fast, easy, transparent services and providing certainty to the public and business actors," said Farhan.

He believes investment plays a strategic role in driving regional economic growth, creating jobs, and improving public welfare. Therefore, ease of doing business must continue to be a priority for local governments.

"We want to ensure that every investor coming to Bandung receives the best possible service. The easier the licensing process and the greater the certainty of business, the greater the investment opportunities. The impact will undoubtedly be felt directly by the community through the creation of jobs and increased economic activity," he said.

Farhan assessed that the award also motivated the Bandung City Government to continue improving and innovating its services.

"We won't stop here. In fact, this award is a driving force to continue improving service quality, strengthening digital integration, reducing unnecessary bureaucracy, and ensuring public services are increasingly adaptive to the needs of the public and the business world," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Principal Secretary of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rudy Salahuddin, explained that the performance assessment of PTSP and PPB aims to evaluate the quality of licensing services while encouraging the standardization of investment services throughout Indonesia.

The 2026 assessment involved 571 assessment objects consisting of 25 ministries/institutions and 546 local governments, covering 38 provinces, 415 districts, and 93 cities.

The evaluation process was conducted comprehensively, involving various agencies, including the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB), the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Development/BKPM, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), and the Regional Autonomy Implementation Monitoring Committee (KPPOD). The assessment was also supported by PT Surveyor Indonesia through self-assessment, verification, and field sampling.

Rudy revealed that the evaluation results showed that there were still a number of challenges that needed attention, particularly related to strengthening human resource competency in licensing services and improving cross-sector coordination in resolving various obstacles to business implementation in the regions.

On the same occasion, the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa Roeslan, said that investment is an important instrument for creating jobs and strengthening national economic growth.

"Today is a moment to build optimism and commitment to realizing investment services that are increasingly better, faster, more transparent, and provide certainty to the business world. The business world always wants everything to be measurable and structured," said Rosan.

According to him, the government has implemented Government Regulation No. 28, which integrates permits from various ministries and agencies into the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. This policy is expected to provide legal certainty, timeliness, and ease of service, supporting the national investment climate. (Bandung City Communications and Information Office/rka)
