PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government's commitment to keeping Bandung green continues to be strengthened through collaboration between the Bandung City Government and the business community. A total of 2,000 tree seedlings were distributed to support reforestation and the expansion of green open spaces in the city.

The handover of tree seedlings was carried out during the Morning Roll Call at the Bandung City Hall Plaza, Monday (10/8/2026) and was witnessed directly by the Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan.

Farhan expressed his appreciation to the Chairman of the Indonesian Real Estate Association (REI) and the leadership of PT Buana Kasiti Group who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting the greening of Bandung City.

"Thank you to the Chairman of the DPP REI and the leadership of PT Buana Kasiti Group and all their staff who have shown extraordinary commitment to donating tree seedlings to keep Bandung green," said Farhan.

Farhan explained that this assistance is a form of collaboration between the business world in maintaining the existence of shade trees while strengthening the quality of the urban environment.

He said that reforestation is an important part of maintaining environmental balance in Bandung City, which has a fairly high density of community activities.

"The 2,000 tree seedlings donated by the Indonesian Real Estate Central Board and 1,000 tree seedlings from PT Buana Kasiti Group are a form of commitment from the business world to truly maintain Bandung as a city always full of shade trees," he said.

According to Farhan, tree planting shouldn't stop at ceremonial activities. The next challenge is ensuring the seedlings grow and are well cared for.

"Although it's not easy at all to maintain it, this is our mandate and commitment to continue preserving Bandung's green and blue open spaces," he said.

He said the concept of green and blue open spaces is part of efforts to maintain the quality of the urban environment in a sustainable manner.

Therefore, Farhan invited all regional and territorial apparatus, business world, communities, and society to take a role in caring for the environment.

According to him, the success of greening Bandung City does not only depend on the number of trees planted, but also on the sustainability of maintenance after planting.

"All members of society from all elements must play a truly active role and make significant contributions," he said.

Farhan said that the Bandung City Government has the same obligation to keep the city comfortable, healthy, and sustainable.

This collaboration also strengthens the spirit of developing Bandung Utama, which places the involvement of various elements of society as an important part in realizing a superior, open, trustworthy, advanced, and religious city of Bandung.
