PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) received 383 asset certificates from the Bandung City Land Office in a handover ceremony at Pendopo, Bandung City, Friday (11/10/2024).

This handover is part of an effort to secure regional assets, especially land owned by the Bandung City Government.

Acting Mayor of Bandung A. Koswara said that the asset certification process has reached 70 percent of the total 17,267 plots of land owned by the Bandung City Government.

Koswara is optimistic that the remaining 30 percent that has not been certified can be completed in the near future.

"The asset certification process has reached 70 percent. I think the remaining 30 percent can be pursued in a not too long time. This is important because asset security is the key to the strength of the Regional Government," he said.

Koswara also emphasized the importance of securing assets through systematic and progressive land dispute resolution.

"Asset security must be firm. The certificates we obtain are important, but it is even more important to resolve existing disputes. We need a specific and firm strategy to ensure that the land we own is clear from claims by other parties," he said.

The second stage, according to Koswara, is maximum utilization of assets.

"Utilization is also part of security. We must evaluate the asset utilization process, ensure the benefit value is maximized, and what the City Government gets is clear. If the utilization is good, it will provide the best results," he said.

According to him, collaboration with the Land Office is important in terms of spatial planning and revenue projections, especially in optimizing Land and Building Tax (PBB) and land asset assessment in the City of Bandung.

"The strength of the city government lies in the assets we have and the space we utilize. Cooperation with the BPN regarding spatial planning is important to ensure that every plot of land in Bandung has a clear plan for the future," he said.

Head of the Bandung City Land Office, Yuliana, reported that since 2017, they have been working with the Bandung City Government in asset certification through the PTSL program and routine services.

Currently, of the 17,267 plots of land owned by the City Government, around 12,482 have been certified, or around 70 percent. In the 2024 budget year, the City Government is targeting the issuance of 700 certificates, with 468 of them already issued.

"Alhamdulillah, today we handed over 383 certificates. With this addition, we hope to reach the target of 700 certificates before the end of the year," he said.

Head of Bandung City BKAD Agus Slamet Firdaus, expressed his appreciation to the regional apparatus that has supported the implementation of asset certification.

"The handover of these certificates helps secure regional assets and better manage government property," he said.
