PORTALJABAR, CIAMIS REGENCY - The West Java Provincial Government continues to strengthen its commitment to being more present with the community through various programs that provide tangible benefits for improving the welfare of residents. One such program is the Poe Ibu Program, a movement for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the West Java Provincial Government that encourages the growth of concern, togetherness, and a spirit of mutual cooperation in helping the community.
This commitment was realized through the Abdi Nagri Ngaprak Lembur #2 activity, held in Kaso Village, Tambaksari District, Ciamis Regency, focusing on repairing Uninhabitable Houses (Rutilahu). This activity demonstrates the government's tangible presence in the community, particularly in helping residents obtain more suitable, safe, and comfortable housing.
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that this program targeted 39 homes, including 30 owned by poor or underprivileged families and 9 affected by landslides. This program is expected to improve the community's quality of life while supporting the recovery of housing conditions for those affected by the disaster.
As part of the program, renovations have been carried out on one of Mr. Teddy's houses. The first phase of renovations is planned to target 11 other houses in need of repair, with collaborative support from various parties.
Of the 11 houses in the first phase, three will be managed by the West Java Scout Movement Regional Headquarters (Kwarda), while the other eight will be supported by regional agencies within the West Java Provincial Government. Two houses will be built independently by the Regional Revenue Agency and the West Java Provincial Education Office, one each. The remaining six houses will be managed through collaboration between several regional agencies.
Funding for the first phase of Rutilahu renovations came from the West Java Provincial Government's civil servant (ASN) volunteer movement, through the Poe Ibu Program. "This spirit of volunteering demonstrates our shared commitment that improving community welfare is not solely the responsibility of the government as an institution, but also a collective movement involving all elements of the civil service," Dedi said on Wednesday (October 14, 2026).
The implementation of Abdi Nagri Ngaprak Lembur #2 also involved collaboration between the West Java Provincial Government, the West Java Regional Scout Movement (Kwartir Pramuka), and Jamkrida (Regional Scout Movement). This cross-stakeholder synergy is expected to strengthen the program's reach and encourage participation from various stakeholders in community development and empowerment.
Through this activity, the West Java Provincial Government emphasized that development is not solely focused on infrastructure and administrative achievements, but also on the tangible impact felt by the community. Renovating residents' homes is one concrete step towards creating a more livable living environment while strengthening the values of mutual cooperation and social solidarity.
Through Poe Ibu, the spirit of civil servant rereongan (re-ongan) is expected to continue to grow into a sustainable movement of kindness. With the spirit of Abdi Nagri Ngaprak Lembur (National Service Workers Working Overtime), the West Java Provincial Government strives to ensure that government presence is truly felt by the community, down to the village level, in line with its commitment to building a more prosperous, inclusive, and empowered West Java.
