PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) is committed to overseeing the 3 Million Homes Program to ensure it truly benefits the community.

This national strategic program must not be solely focused on achieving numbers, but must also be able to deliver prosperity by providing adequate housing for those in need. Therefore, the beneficiary data collection, construction implementation, and oversight process must be carried out accountably to ensure that assistance truly reaches those who deserve it.

This was stated by the Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Herman Suryatman, when he was the keynote speaker at the Socialization of the Regulation of the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Number 6 of 2026 concerning House Renovation held by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas at the Office of the Housing and Settlement Area Service of West Java Province, Friday (7/8/2026).

According to Regional Secretary Herman, the success of the 3 Million Homes Program depends on the integrity of all parties involved. Therefore, each stage must be carried out professionally, transparently, and in a community-friendly manner.

"The important thing is that there are no evil minds involved in bringing prosperity to the people through this 3 Million Homes Program," said Regional Secretary Herman.

He stated that the 3 Million Homes Program is one of the President's priority programs that must be jointly monitored. All elements of government, both central and regional, share the same responsibility to ensure the program is implemented according to its objectives.

Herman also urged all regional governments from the 27 districts/cities present to begin focusing on the implementation phase. After various regulations and preparations have been drafted, it's time to ensure that implementation on the ground is effective, on target, and meets community needs.

"In September 2026, we will focus on implementing the construction of 3 million homes," added Regional Secretary Herman.
