PORTALJABAR, BOGOR REGENCY - The West Java Provincial Government has repaired 15.1 kilometers of roads from Parung Panjang to Bunar District, Cigedug District, Bogor Regency, out of a total length of 28.04 kilometers. The cost of the repairs reached Rp142 billion.

The Secretary of the West Java Province Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency, Kosasih, said that road repairs from Parung Panjang to Bunar would be carried out from 2024 to 2026.

Previously, the road in the area was damaged by frequent use by overloaded mining trucks. The damaged road has resulted in several accidents.

The West Java Provincial Government has installed 4-meter-high barriers to prevent mining trucks from crossing the road. The barriers were installed at three locations: kilometer 55, kilometer 64, and kilometer 79 of Jalan Jakarta.

In addition, the West Java Transportation Agency has deployed officers to ensure that mining trucks do not pass through the Parung Panjang, Rumpin, and Cigudeg districts. The Head of the West Java Transportation Agency, Dhani Gumelar, stated that monitoring is carried out 24 hours a day.

"The Transportation Agency is on duty 24 hours a day to monitor mining transportation activities," said Dhani, Monday (14/9/2026).

He reminded mining operators that the governor's circular letter No. 7920/ES.09/PEREK, dated September 25, 2025, concerning the temporary suspension of all mining activities in the Parung Panjang, Rumpin, and Cigudeg districts, remains in effect. This measure represents the West Java Provincial Government's effort to reorganize mining activities in Parung Panjang and the surrounding area.
