PORTALJABAR, BANDUNG CITY - The Bandung City Government is strengthening data collection and verification in the Social Protection Digitalization (Perlinsos) program. This step is being taken to ensure that community data, which forms the basis for various social service and protection programs, is more accurate and can be utilized effectively.

The Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Iskandar Zulkarnain, conveyed this when giving directions at the Start of Work Roll Call at the Bandung City Hall Plaza, Monday, (5/10/2026).

Iskandar said that this week the Bandung City Government has begun strengthening discussions and preparing population data, including KTP and National Identification Number (NIK) data, as part of the ongoing data collection process.

"We have prepared the materials and equipment to process the data," said Iskandar.

He stated that previous data collection and verification activities had also begun. All regional and territorial apparatus elements were asked to monitor the implementation to ensure it was on target.

According to Iskandar, of the approximately 800 thousand heads of families targeted for data collection in this stage, the Bandung City Government is targeting 400 thousand heads of families to be verified by the end of the year.

He instructed all staff to be serious about carrying out the data collection. The verification results will form a database supporting various government programs, including health services and social protection programs.

"This verification data will be used for several activities, both health services and other programs. Therefore, I hope this activity is carried out seriously," he said.

Iskandar acknowledged that there is still community data that has not been recorded or inputted. Therefore, the data collection and verification process requires collaborative involvement, from regional officials to territorial elements.

Previously, in a coordination meeting on the Digitalization of Social Protection and the Implementation of Digital Population Identity (IKD) on September 29, 2026, the Bandung City Government targeted 435,416 families, or 50 percent of the total 870,832 families, to be registered through Social Protection by December 2026.
