PORTALJABAR, BEKASI REGENCY - A total of 40 participants attended the Ulama Cadre Education (PKU) Volume 2 held by the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Bekasi Regency at the KH. Noer Ali Hall, Bekasi Regent's Building, Central Cikarang, on Thursday (10/10/2024).
During the event, the Acting Regent of Bekasi, Dedy Supriyadi, directly provided material on National Insight Lectures from the perspective of Hadith Science to the participants.
Dedy Supriyadi said that a moderate attitude is very important to implement, considering that the people of Bekasi Regency are very religious and diverse, and are also filled with many immigrants.
Therefore, the implementation of a moderate attitude will maintain balance and conduciveness between religious communities in Bekasi Regency, he said.
According to him, moderation is a wise middle way in facing various differences and challenges. Moderation helps individuals and groups to avoid unnecessary polarization and conflict.
“Moderation invites us to seek common ground and common solutions and not sharpen differences,” he said.
Furthermore, he said, moderation is the foundation for achieving harmony in living together in diversity.
In addition, moderation is present as a response to the emergence of extreme ideologies that threaten harmony and peace.
"A moderate attitude is a strong defense against radicalism and intolerance and encourages us to think critically, rationally, and be open to different views," he added.
The Bekasi District Government always strives to build an attitude of moderation among the community, by strengthening education, the role of religious figures, the role of local government, community development, and preventing radicalism.
In addition, the Bekasi Regency Government also always builds good relations with religious figures through dialogue, ulama-umaro gatherings, and support for the PKU MUI Bekasi Regency program. (Diskominfo Kab. Bekasi/Fauziah)
