FORKI Garut Management Officially Inaugurated for 2026–2030, Ready for Porprov

PORTALJABAR, GARUT REGENCY - The management of the Indonesian Karate-Do Sports Federation (FORKI) of Garut Regency for the 2026–2030 term was officially inaugurated at the Ballroom of the Harmoni Garut Hotel, Jalan Cipanas Baru, Tarogong Kaler District, Garut Regency, Sunday (30/8/2026).

The Head of the Garut Regency Youth and Sports Agency (Kadispora), Asep Mulyana, welcomed the new FORKI Garut Regency management. He hopes the new management will bring positive development to karate in the regency.

"With the presence of this new management, I once again hope that FORKI Karate in Garut Regency can develop further," said Asep Mulyana.

FORKI representative Agung Satria expressed his appreciation for the inauguration, which took place shortly after the Branch Conference (Muscab). He believed this demonstrated the management's commitment to running the organization.

With the completion of the Regional Conference (Muscab) and inauguration, FORKI Garut Regency can field its athletes in the West Java Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) to be held in November. Based on the decision of the West Java FORKI meeting, Pengcab (Regional Sports Committees) that have completed the Muscab and official inauguration are eligible to participate in the Porprov.

"This is extraordinary and serves as concrete evidence of the seriousness of the FORKI Garut Regency management in managing its organization. Hopefully, the results of this work meeting will generate new ideas and breakthroughs for the advancement of karate achievements in Garut Regency," Agung emphasized.

Abar, a representative of the Garut Regency KONI (Indonesian Sports Committee), also expressed his support. He expressed his appreciation for the inauguration, which coincided with a coordination meeting, and expressed his hope that FORKI Garut would consistently be a medal-winning sport at every Porprov event.

Meanwhile, Ricky Rizki Darajat, Chairman of FORKI Garut Regency for the 2026–2030 term, expressed his readiness to carry out his leadership mandate for the next four years. He assessed that Garut Regency has significant athlete potential, spread across six karate schools.

"For me personally, there are no big or small schools, but how these six schools can collaborate with all our abilities and potential to advance karate in Garut Regency," said Ricky.

Ricky also asked all levels of management in each field to carry out their duties optimally and maintain the professionalism of the organization.

"Carry out your duties and responsibilities with full integrity," he concluded.
