PORTALJABAR, WEST BANDUNG REGENCY - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Machmudin accompanied the Minister of Trade Budi Santoso to monitor the PT Patra Trading Bulk LPG Filling and Distribution Station (SPBE) in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, Monday (12/23/2024).

This visit was conducted to ensure that the operation and distribution of 3-kilogram LPG gas runs according to procedures and meets the needs of the community, especially ahead of the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) celebrations.

Minister of Trade Budi Santoso in his statement after the review said that this visit aimed to ensure that the standard operating procedures (SOP) implemented at SPBE were in accordance with the provisions.

"Today we saw the process of filling 3-kilogram LPG gas at the Padalarang SPBE. This kind of filling is carried out at 700 SPBEs throughout Indonesia, both those managed by Pertamina and the private sector. We want to ensure that the SOP implemented is appropriate," said Budi Santoso.

He emphasized the importance of direct inspections to SPBE and SPBU to ensure there are no violations in operations, including the weight of 3-kilogram LPG tanks which must meet standards.

"We appreciate Pertamina for implementing this procedure well so that the public can feel safe and confident that the 3-kilogram LPG they receive is in accordance with the rules. We also thank the provincial and district governments who guarantee a safe supply of LPG ahead of Christmas and New Year," he continued.

In addition to secure supplies, the Minister of Trade also wants to ensure the quality of LPG gas distribution, especially amidst increasing demand during the Christmas and New Year period.

"Supply is normal, distribution is running smoothly, and we ensure there are no errors in filling or distributing LPG to the public," he concluded.

This visit is a manifestation of the joint commitment of the Central and Regional Governments to ensure that the community's energy needs are met safely and according to standards.
