PORTALJABAR, DISTRICT. GARUT - The Regent of Garut, Rudy Gunawan, inaugurated the Cilawu District Office building, Thursday (11/1/2024). This inauguration was attended by a number of residents and local officials, marking a step forward for the sub-district.

Regent Rudy Gunawan expressed his joy at being able to gather with the people of Cilawu. He emphasized the importance of this sub-district office building as the center of government activities in the region. Interestingly, the Regent also gave permission to the public to use the sub-district office hall as a location for holding wedding ceremonies.

"As previously led by Mr. KUA, if someone wants to get married in this hall, that's okay. If someone wants to get married at the sub-district office but doesn't need a reception, that's okay," he added.

Furthermore, the Regent of Garut appreciated the history and development of Cilawu District. He reminded us of Cilawu's past which was famous for its Dayeuhmanggung tea plantation in the 1980s which produced selected quality teas.

Rudy also appreciated the contribution of great scholars from Cilawu and their good and increasing level of welfare compared to other regions.

"So Cilawu's past was extraordinary, but now it is also extraordinary, because the fathers and mothers got along well, the village heads were elected by the people voluntarily, so that you became leaders who had authority in their respective regions," he said.

The Head of Cilawu Subdistrict, Anas Aulia Malik, expressed his hope that the new subdistrict office building could provide wider benefits for the community. Head of Anas Subdistrict also expressed his gratitude to the Regent of Garut for his dedication and support for the construction of this more representative office.

"We, members of the community, are here to pray that his charity will be accepted by Allah, will be rewarded with goodness, and then he will have a long life, be healthy and be saved, and also be blessed in this world and the hereafter," he said.

With the inauguration of the Cilawu District Office building, it is hoped that it can support improved services to the community and strengthen government functions at the sub-district level.
